PRM is a downtown Montessori School serving children ages 9 months - 8th grade. We have been in operation since August 2011.

Peace Rose is home to five programs — Infant/Toddler, Toddler, Primary/Kindergarten, Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, and Middle School.

At the core of its mission, Peace Rose is striving to create global citizens who are compassionate, empathetic, and unprejudiced. Hours

Our school day is 8am-3:30pm. Drop off at all buildings is from 8-8:30am and dismissal is from 3-3:30pm.

Curriculum

Our curriculum follows guidelines set forth by the American Montessori Society. When preparing lessons, we also take into account the North Carolina State Standards for Curriculum and Instruction. Teachers are able to craft strategic lessons and approaches to follow the child's interest in learning.

Please visit our 'Montessori Classrooms' tab for learning more about each program. Extracurricular studies include music, theater, yoga, physical education, art education, Spanish, and learning from our farm and garden.

Licensure

Our programs are regulated by American Montessori Society. We are licensed by the North Carolina Department of Non-Public Education for our elementary program. We follow local health, zoning, and fire code requirements to operate a school.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Peace Rose does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, religious belief, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, physical or mental ability, or nationality.
